For those visiting the area for Fly fishing you will no doubt be aware that the River Don
is world famous for its wild brown trout fishing.
Anglers from all over the world visit the North East of Scotland to fish this famous river.
However its not just brown trout the River Don is known for. It also offers fantastic Salmon & sea trout fishing too. And generally at a fraction of the cost of many other rivers in the North East of Scotland!

The Don has some excellent fly water with plenty of fast flowing runs and rocky pools.
Rising in the Cairngorm National Park and flowing 82 miles east down to the sea in Aberdeen, the Don is Scotland’s 6th largest river.
Home to a huge variety of species which also include eels, loaches, lampreys and pike as well as the fore mentioned species salmon, brown trout & sea trout. The Don is a beautiful river & the fish share the water with Otters, Kingfishers, Eagles and Buzzards. Red and Roe deer are often seen drinking at the riverside.
The Inn is an excellent base for all your fishing needs. Not only do you get the service we are renowned for we also offer:
Storage & drying area for rods, waders tackle & equipment. You don’t have to disassemble you rods just store them when your finished & hang the waders to dry.
Packed lunches can be provided as well as free hot fills for your flasks before you depart for the days fishing (Not hip flasks though!!)
And of course comfortable rooms, good food & a relaxing lounge bar to sink a dram in & talk about the days events & fishing at the end of the day!

Testimonials:
Good trip thanks, No problem on the donations, it is the least we could do given our great treatment (as ever), and the superb food and hospitality. I hope it makes a difference, and I’m sure it will be nice for you to hand it to them personally.
Thanks again, and please wish tight lines for the incomers – I see they may have some of the wet stuff tomorrow.....
(C Mylchreest)

Hi Sylvia & Darren,
I would just like to thank you & your staff for making our stay with you such a joy. Ian & I were absolutely over the moon with the hospitality & everything that went with it.
From the time that we arose in the morning, (Oh those breakfasts) to when we arrived back "home" after fishing, to the comfort of the bar and those meals in the evening. Boy oh boy did they go down well.
I would just like to close by wishing you both ,all good wishes for the future,& who knows if all goes well,
I may be able to visit you all once again. (Fantastic Fishing)
I just wish that we were able to visit you both at The Kildrummy Inn for that Christmas Fare it certainly looks appetising.
Our very best regards to you both and all your staff!

Hi Sylvia and Darren
Just a very brief word of thanks from one very satisfied customer for the days spent with you during my attendance as one of Bill Cottle’s pupils during his excellently run and very productive Salmon fishing course during September..
The accommodation was warm and comfortable, mine hosts were both very helpful and very good company...
The food was excellent and even the weather was acceptable (although I don’t credit you guys for that !)
There is no doubt that I will, given the opportunity, visit your establishment again before Christmas
Once again my thanks and regards
M Kimber
